George Kicklighter

August 25, 1931 — September 13, 2011

George Washington (G.W.) Kicklighter 80, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at his residence under the care of his family and Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all of his life. He was employed as a supervisor with the Tattnall County Road Department. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and being with family and friends. He was a founding member of the Pineywood Coon Hunters Club and a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by, Wife, Irma Kicklighter of Glennville

Michael Kicklighter (Tammi) of Claxton
Bruce Kicklighter (Doreen) of Glennville
Debra Smith of Claxton
Pam Jenkins (Wesley) of Claxton
Sisters, Audry Padgett of Darien
Docia Padgett of Savannah
Theda Ward of Baltimore, MD.
Alvagrace Allen of Baxley
Juanita Moody (Marlon) of Glennville
Eleven Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, September 16, 2010 at Watermelon Creek Church Cemetery with Rev. James O. Young and Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
