Gloria Mangum Jones, 82, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home after a long illness. She was born May 10, 1933 in Glennville, Georgia to the late Mattie Lou Kicklighter and Alton Ernest Mangum.
Gloria graduated as Salutatorian from Glennville High School in 1950 and immediately moved to Miami, Florida where she met and married James Owen Jones. They lived in Miami for many years until returning home to Glennville in 1980. Gloria worked at South Georgia Bank where she was a dedicated employee for 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Glennville. She was an avid reader and had a love of crossword puzzles. Her love of reading was a pastime she shared with her granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Lou and Alton Mangum; husband, James Owen
Jones; and brother, James "Jimmy" Ernest Mangum.

Susan (David) Fennell of Midway
Sisters: Arlene (Carl) Arnsdorff of Guyton and Margaret (Earl) Shearouse of Springfield
Granddaughter:Macy Elizabeth Fennell of Midway
Many nieces and nephews and her dearest companion, Ned Banks of Glennville also
survive.
Family will receive visitors and friends on Thursday, August, 6 from 5:00 �½�½" 7:00 pm at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Glennville First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Howard and Pastor Alford Banks officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Allen Hendricks, David Mangum, Jr., Richard Chiariello, Rocky Seward, Kenny Seward, Travis Bowen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be employees, officers and directors of South Georgia Bank.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, in charge of the arrangements.
