Gordon Randall Strange

Gordon Randall Strange, affectionately known as Randy, age 79, passed away peacefully at Piedmont Walton Hospital in Monroe Georgia on Saturday, September 7, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Randy was born in Glennville, Georgia, February 13, 1945, to Fuller "Punch" and Minnie Lee Strange. He was a 1963 graduate of Glennville High School and grew up attending the Glennville First Christian Church. After graduation he attended a business school in Atlanta. 

He had an exemplary 30-year career with General Foods/Kraft Inc. Randy was known to all his customers as the "coffee man". After retiring he and his wife, Carol, enjoyed traveling and seeing the glorious wonders of God's creation. Randy also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by:

Wife of 54 years, Carol Strange of Monroe, Georgia

Sister, Peggy Todd (Jimmy) of Hagan, Georgia

Nephews, Shane Todd (Susan) of Claxton, Georgia
John Gillett (Carissa) of Atlanta, Georgia
Bryan Gillett (Page) of Marietta, Georgia

Numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Glennville City Cemetery.
