Gordon Thomas Wiegold, age 63, was received into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 30, 2012. He was born and raised in New South Wales Australia, where he lived until 2003 when he moved to America. Gordon enjoyed his family, music, racecars, motorcycles, and anything with the Chevy logo on it, but more than anything else, he enjoyed serving Jesus Christ and the Lord's Church. God, by his free and sovereign grace, saved Gordon on July 3rd, 1994. He was called to the ministry soon after, and he always said, "I'm saved by God's Grace, and called to preach by His sense of humor" The rest of his life was a demonstration of his love for his Saviour. He travelled throughout Australia, America, and visited Africa twice preaching the wonderful gospel of grace everywhere he went He was a member of Ella Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Karen Wiegold. His siblings Kathleen, Sylvia and husband Jim, Leslie, Norman and his wife Vivian and Vincent and wife Beverly. His children Gordon and wife Kim, Kathleen and husband Dean, Timothy, Carissa, Karly and husband Joseph, and Alyce. His grandchildren Tyson, Tahlia, Chaz, Jessica, Timothy, Benjamin, Kyah, Savannah, Maya, Ava. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 3, 2012 at Ella Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glennville Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the Church.
