Hattie Lourine Altman

Hattie Lourine Altman, 87, passed away on September 13, 2023at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia, Georgia. She was born on November 3, 1935, in Screven, Georgia to Austos Maxwell and Agnes Roberson Wilson and lived in Reidsville most of her life until moving to Vidalia in 2006 with her daughter.  

Lourine was a remarkable homemaker known for her simple, loving, and caring nature. Throughout her life, she found joy in spending time with her family, tending to her beloved flowers, caring for her cats, and listening to the soothing bluegrass music. 

Lourine's genuine love for her family was unwavering and evident in every aspect of her life. She treasured the moments spent with her children and grandchildren as they forged lasting memories together.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Kenneth Altman; daughter, Linda Kay Tootle; and siblings, Aletha Wilson, Conward Wilson, and Margaret Tyre.

Left to honor her memory are her loving children: Elizabeth Altman Glaser (Kenneth Allen) of Vidalia, Georgia and Barry Altman (Melissa) of Reidsville, Georgia; sister Mary Goldwire of Cincinnati Ohio; grandchildren: Terry Lee Tootle, Eben Glaser, Madison Glaser, Olivia Glaser, Kaitlyn Allen Olivia Allen Bryson Allen Ella Allen Kyle Altman Brandon Altman; great-grandchildren: Dallas Altman, Remington Tootle, Jaylin Tootle, Bentley Altman, Knyzi Altman, Easton Altman; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on September 16, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Reidsville City Cemetery.
