Helen Burkhalter

Helen L. Burkhalter, 75 passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Glenvue Nursing Home. The Virginia native had lived in Glennville most of her life. She was retired from the Department of Corrections at Georgia State Prison as a corrections officer. She was a rural carrier for Savannah Morning News for 20 years and employed with Tattnall Memorial Hospital and Tattnall County EMS for several years. She was a member of Glennville First United Pentecostal Church and was proceeded in death by, husband, Raymond Burkhalter, daughter, Sherrie Anderson, Grandsons, Ray Blocker & Mark Anderson.
She is survived by, Daughters and son in-law, Deborah Joseph, Tammy and Gerald Blocker of Glennville
Sister, Jo Robertson of Texas
Brothers, Johnny (MaryAnn) Janoski and Jerry Janoski all of Indiana
Seven Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. James M. Holland officiating. Burial will be in Glennville Memorial Gardens.
