Hillis Garland Baxter, 92, passed away October 17, 2011 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, GA.
He was a native and life long resident of Long County, Georgia. He was a farmer and a retired Civil Service employee. He was a member of Rye Patch Baptist Church and attended Elim Baptist Church for many years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Durrence Baxter; and parents Janie Lou Smith Baxter and Rufus Leland Baxter.

Geral Baxter (Reba) of Glennville
Revis Baxter and wife Betty of Ludowici
Two Grandchildren:Brittney Baxter and Clint Baxter
Visitation will be from 1:00 �½" 3:00 pm , Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home Glennville Chapel with Rev. Dempsey Golden and Rev. Greg Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Rye Patch Baptist Church Cemetery in Long County.
Pallbearers: Twiman Garrason, Eddie Dasher, Jeffery Dasher, Michael Swindell, Reggie Todd, Donnie Singletary and Ronnie Todd.
