Homer Angelo Glisson

Metter- Homer Angelo Glisson 82, of Metter died Tuesday evening at Candler County Hospital. He moved to Metter 45 years ago coming from Savannah. He was a charter member of Metter Church of God. He retired from the Candler County Board of Education; and enjoyed old westerns, and classic country music. He predeceased by his parents Jessie James and Effie Velez Glisson, daughter JoAnne Mills Myers, and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Josephine Lee Glisson of Metter, daughter Linda Kay Lewis of Metter, son Timothy R. (Brandy) Smith of Manassas.

Visitation will be Thursday December 12, 2013 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Metter Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 13, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Metter Church of God. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Primitive Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jo Paul Williams, Robert Coxwell, Lee Parker, Gary Lee, Zach Lanier, and James Kight.
