Howard J. Gray 86 passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. He was born July 12, 1929 in Belchertown Massachusetts to Howard Boyd Gray and Alice Maude James Gray. He lived and attended school in Baltimore, Maryland until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1946 during World War II where served in the Philippines and Okinawa. He lived in Florida many years where he worked for Thatcher Glass Company transferring in 1969 to New Jersey where he worked for them for Twenty Five years. He moved his family to Glennville in 1979 and begin his second career with the Glennville Police Department and retired as Chief of Police in 1995. He was a member of Glennville First Christian Church.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2016 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Elder Tom Sollosi officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
