Hugh Oliver

Hugh D. Oliver, 85 passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Live Oak Retirement Community in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born in Glennville Georgia April 9, 1927 to A.G. and Ruth Sikes Oliver and lived in Glennville most of his life. He was Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Mascot Pecan Company in Glennville and Co-Owner of Atwell Pecan Company in Wrens, Georgia. He was a member and deacon of Glennville First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Oliver, His parents, brothers, Gordon and Clinton Oliver.
He is survived by: Children, Susan O. Dowdy (Jerry) of Wrens, Georgia
Richard M. Oliver (Martha) of Stonewall, Louisiana
Sister, Juliet Tarver of Glennville
Five Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Glennville First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
