Hugh Dorsey Thompson Jr., passed away, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Evans Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 11, 1950 to Hugh Dorsey (H.D.) and Jane Thompson. He had lived in Glennville all of his life. He was a 1968 Graduite of Glennville High School, Middle Georgia College with Associate Degree, Georgia Souther College with BS Industrial Management, Armstrong State College with, BBA Accounting. He was a Certified Public Account, Worked with, Hugh Durham Timber, Broadleaf Timber, Co-Owner and Manager of Lipsitzs Department Store and Vice President of Glennville Bank. He was a member and past Master of Philadelphia Lodge #73 E&AM, Past Master of First Masonic District F&AM, Charter Member of Glennville Rotary Club, Former Member of Glennville Downtown Development Athority. He was a member of Glennville United Methodist Church and member of the administrative Council and Finance Committe. He is preceded in death by his Father, Hugh Dorsey Thompson SR. and a Sister, Libbie Thompson Durrence.
His is survived by, Wife, Ginger Thompson of Glennville, Mother, Jane Thompson of Glennville
Sons, David Thompson and Hugh Dorsey Thompson III of Statesboro, Brother, Bran Thompson of Glennville, Sister, Vicky Thompson Webb of Springfield.
Several Nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Monday, April 1, 2013 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Glennville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
