Irma Jean Holland Purvis, 75, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital. The Tattnall County native had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker, wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church and attended Mendes Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Truett Purvis, a daughter, Faye Purvis Anderson, sons in law, Royce Anderson, and Alan Purcell.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Elder Tom Deal and Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery.
