Jack Cowart

Jack Cowart 83, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. He was born in Reidsville, November 5, 1930 to George Lester and Mamie Hunt Cowart and lived here all of his life. He was retired as Captain of the Guard from the Department of Corrections at Georgia State Prison after 30 years of service. He was a farmer an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by, Wife, Frances Cowart of Reidsville
Sons, Robert (Pam) Cowart of Reidsville
Michael Cowart of Reidsville
Sister, June Clifton of Reidsville
Special Friend, Clyde Smith of Reidsville
Three Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Friday, February 14, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Reidsville.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Reidsville Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Reidsville City Cemetery.
