James A. Blanchard, 64, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his residence under the care of his family and Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was born in Blossburg, PA. February 20, 1947 to William Wilcox and Frances Haight Blanchard. He had lived in Glennville for many years and was employed with McKenzie Truck Lines. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Dyke Blanchard.

Children, Jamie (Lindy) Blanchard of Glennville
Carl Merrick of Hinesville
Sisters, Lillian Taylor and Linda Jean Larson of Pennsylvania
Brother, George Blanchard of Pennsylvania
Grandchildren, Jamie Blanchard II, Alex Dean, Elizabeth Manly, Kaitlyn Dean, William Manly, Robert Blanchard, Brandon Blanchard, Sebastian & Ian Merrick
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
