James Mcdaniel

November 24, 1935 — January 2, 2014

James Bobby McDaniel, 78, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Oxley Park Health and Rehab in Lyons. He was born in Cobbtown, GA November 24, 1935 to Woodrow and Melba Brantley McDaniel and lived in this area most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran and retired as a Lieutenant with Georgia State Patrol after 33 years of service. He a Mason, Shriner and founding member of the Tattnall County Shrine Club and member of the Rising Sun Lodge # 32 in Reidsville. He loved to fish and his greatest joy was spending time with his Grandchildren. He was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Anderson McDaniel.
He is survived by:
Children, Barbara & Gary Blaxton
Bridget & Willie Beecher all of Reidsville
Brothers, Bill "Tank" and Glenda McDaniel of Cobbtown
Larry Joe and Sherry McDaniel of Metter
Grandchildren, Haley Wallace (Ben), Ramsey & Garrett Blaxton, Cody, Callie & Cade Beecher
Great Grandchild, Finley Rae Wallace
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 4, 2014 at Reidsville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Miller and Rev. Greg Usry officiating. Burial will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery with honors rendered by Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard.
