James Valentine Bugajski

James Valentine Bugajski, affectionately known as "Bugs," passed away on December 25, 2024, at Glenvue Nursing Home & Rehab. Born on November 18, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, Bugs lived a life characterized by dedication to his family and service to his country.

Bugs proudly served five years in the U.S. Army followed by an additional fifteen years in the Georgia National Guard. This commitment to his country reflected his love and respect for the values he held dear. After his military service, he transitioned into a fulfilling career in civil service at Fort Stewart. He owned and operated B&B Plumbing alongside his son, where he dedicated his skills and knowledge to serving the community.

His interests ranged widely, with a particular fondness for classic cars, woodworking, painting, and the thrill of racing and NASCAR. Bugs found joy in the simpler pleasures of life, often spending time fishing and traveling to his homeplace, New York, to visit his family.

Above all, Bugs took immense pride in his family. He was a devoted father, frequently sharing tales of his children’s accomplishments with anyone willing to listen, his voice filled with pride. This love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, resonating through his actions and words.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by:

Wife, Melbalene Bugajski of Glennville, Georgia

Children, Marlene Hart (Shelby) of Glennville, Georgia Anita Baker (Bryan) of Glennville, Georgia Jimmy Bugajski (Patti) of Glennville, Georgia

Brother, Richard Rogers of Lancaster, New York

Sister, Dorrie Elminowski (Norb) of Cheektowaga, New York

Grandchildren, Trent Hart (Laura Anne), Amber Dukes (Samuel), Brittney Haag (Keith), Lee Bugajski (Grayson), Cody Baker, Walter Bugajski

Great Grandchildren, Joseph Hart, William Hart, Briley Dukes, Hunter Dukes

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Monday, December 30, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 30, 2024, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
