Glennville,
James S. “Jim” Callaway, 67, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his residence in Glennville. He was born in Reidsville, Georgia, January 18, 1953 to James Folsom and Anna Marcelle Stubbs and was a 1971 graduate of Liberty County High School. Jim was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran and lived in Hinesville many years until moving to Glennville in 1991. He was employed with Duramatic Corporation for 19 years and enjoyed collecting coins. Jim loved to be outdoors, to hunt, to fish and to help others. He was an accomplished guitarist that loved to write and play songs and take care of his mother. Jim was preceded in death by his father and brother, Roy “Mack” Callaway.
He is survived by:
Mother, Anna Marcelle Foresman of Glennville
Several cousins and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2020 with Elder Clay Gill officiating. Burial will be in Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
