James Fulton Lee, known as Bob, passed away on April 8, 2024. Born on April 26, 1957, in Claxton, GA, he was the son of late Robert and Jackie Lee. In 1975, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Lee. They lived happily at their home in Baxley, GA. The same place you’d often hear him refer to as “God’s Country” or “His Slice of Heaven.” Bob and Cheryl went on to have four children and several grandchildren together. They would celebrate 49 years of marriage this month.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lee; his children, Jeremy (Jeni) Lee; Margie (Dent) Norton; and Jimmy (April) Lee. Grandchildren, Alexa (Nathan) Sexsmith; Katelyn Lee; Kaitlyn (Adam) Miller; Alex Norton; Sierra Brennan; Dylan Lee; Maggie Lee; Braxton Lee; Braeden Lee; Jameson Lee; Mallorie Lee; Cayden Lee and Tyler Logan. Great grandchildren, Levi Sexsmith; Sloan Sexsmith; and Jackson Colson. Siblings, Bobbette (Edward) Dasher; Joanne (John) Patterson; Keith Lee; and Tim (Virginia) Lee, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a man with many hobbies and talents. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening, loved to cook and was a heavy equipment operator for the bulk of his career.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and son Justin “Judd” Lee.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
