James Talmadge Thompson 81 passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Camellia Health & Rehab in Claxton. He was born in Tattnall County January 13, 1931 to Mose and Lala Bacon Thompson and lived here all of his life. He worked in construction, building homes and as a foreman with Scott Bridge Company for over 25 years. After retirement he worked with Tattnall County solid waste disposal for several years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

21 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin 6:00 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
