James Weitman

October 14, 1926 — March 22, 2016

James O. "Jimmy" Weitman 89 passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Ludowici. He was born in Glennville October 14, 1926 to Moses Oscar and Lanoria Moody Weitman living in South Florida for many years moving back to Glennville in 1974. He was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran and retired from the Construction Industry. He was a member of Pigott Branch Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer and Chairman of the Cemetery Committee. He is preceded in death by wife, Willie Mae Weitman.
He is survived by,
Daughter, Laura (Terry) Turner of San Mateo, FL
Sons, James A.(Robert) Weitman of Ludowici, GA
Joseph (Nancye) Weitman of Shelby, NC

Eight Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren , several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, March 25, 2016 at Pigott Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Waldo and Rev. James O. Young officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Pigott Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
