Collins Janice Rewis Anderson, 68, died Saturday morning at Community Hospice in Vidalia. She was a native and lifelong resident of Tattnall County and was co-owner of Charlie's Exxon in Collins for over 20 years. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and loved singing and making music.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Rewis and a son Chuck Anderson.
Survivors: husband of 52 years Charlie Anderson, daughter; Tammy A. Hall of Collins, mother; Eula Oliver Rewis, resident of Bethany Home in Vidalia, brothers; Danny (Frances) Rewis of Collins, sisters; Hazel (Tom) Spell of Cobbtown, Betty Jean (Gene) Beckum of Bloomingdale, Vivian (Jimmy) Hughes of Santa Clause.
Grandchildren; Heather (Daniel) Woods, Monica Jarriel, Martin Hall, Brooke (Brett) Coley, Jackie Jarriel, Ramsey Arnald, Great grandchildren; Mason Woods, Blayn Woods, Cameron Hancock, Riley Flowers.
Special family member Melvin Collins of Collins.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Rogers officiating, eulogy by Ellis Martin. Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service also at the church.
