Janice Collier

Janice Meeks Collier, 67, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Evans Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Lyons, Georgia, June 28, 1951to Marlon and Thelma O'Neal Meeks and lived in Lyons and Glennville most of her life. She was a 1969 graduate of Lyons High School and employed with Southern Bell Telephone, Sikes, Continental and Alltell Telephone Companies for many years. She was retired from Department of Family and Children Services in Liberty County as an Administrative Assistant. She was a very talented artist and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David M. Meeks.
She is survived by; Husband, Ray Collier of Glennville, GA
Children, Brandy Beecher (Harvey) of Glennville, GA
Lynn Ashby (Jim) of Collins, GA
Dennis Collier (Jennifer) of Glennville, GA
Sisters, Sherri Calhaun (Lynnwood) of Lyons, GA
Debbie Meeks Smith of Higgston, GA
Marilyn Meeks Jones of Thomson, GA
Six Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 11:00am, Monday, July 1, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm, Monday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Collins Chapel Church Cemetery in Lyons, GA.
