Janie Bowen

Janie Cowart Bowen, 74, passed away Saturday October 24, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness. She was born in Reidsville October 26, 1940 to Herschel and Donnie Kitchens Cowart and lived in Collins and Savannah moving back to Glennville in1974. She and her husband owned and operated Bowen Appliance Service in Glennville for many years. She worked at Reidsville Florist and was a home health care provider for several families. She is a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and attended Mendes Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Greg Bowen.

She is survived by, Husband, Robert "Bob" Bowen of Glennville, GA

Children, Bobby (Karen) Bowen of Glennville, GA

Billy (Traci) Bowen of Glennville, GA

Sisters, Molly (Ralph) Kemp, Donnie Sue (Willie) Bryson, Ramona Brummett, Frankie (Dewey) Shealy all of Reidsville, GA

Grandchildren, Brooke (Myles) Willis, Whitney (Dustin) Stanfield, Jessica Bowen, Haley Bowen, Shelby Bowen, Summer Bowen, Duston Bowen, Anna Kowalezyk, Seth Waters, Maggie Bowen.

Four Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Monday, October 26, 2015 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Beards Creek Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Bubba Bowen, Duston Bowen, Ricky Daniels, Seth Waters, Buddy Bowen, Bernard Purvis.
