Janis Anderson McCurdy, 66, passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Glennville. She was born in Jesup, Georgia on April 29, 1945 to Elton & Sue Nell Dreggors Anderson. She was a 1963 graduate of Glennville High School and is a charter member of Cornerstone Bible Church. She was very active in Glennville's Civic Organizations, including, the renovation of the Glennville City Auditorium, various beautification projects, was a member of the Glennville City Council for 4 years. She was the owner and operator of McCurdy's on Main Street, and she and her husband also owned and operated The Supply Company. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert Anderson.

Visitation will begin 3:00 pm Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Cornerstone Bible Church, 304 East Hencart Road, Glennville, GA 30427.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, October 24, 2011 at Cornerstone Bible Church with Rev. Winston Beasley, Rev. Scott Speer, and Rev. Bob Briley officiating. Burial will follow at the Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Gerald Strickland, Bo Davis, Pat Edwards, Tommy Hilliard, Chris Sands, Charles Winge, Brent Walker and Louis Geiger.
Honorary Pallbearers: Glennville High School Class of 1963.
