Jeanan Floyd Lewis,77, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. She was born January 27, 1947, in Paris Island, South Carolina to O.C. and Ruth Boyette Floyd. Jeanan was a 1965 graduate of Glennville High School.
Jeanan was a hairdresser owning and operating her own salon, House of Beauty. After 25 years she retired to be at home with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jeanan was an excellent homemaker that loved to cook and take care of others. The kitchen was her sanctuary where she used her cooking as a ministry to others.
Jeanan was a long-time member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Enman Lewis, parents and a brother, O.C. "Bubba" Floyd, Jr.
Jeanan is survived by:
Son, Michael Lewis (Sondra) of Jesup, Georgia
Grandchildren, Blake, Levi and Faith Lewis
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, April 1, 2024 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 1, 2024 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
