Jimmy E. Shirah
Metter- Jimmy E. Shirah, 80, of Metter died Friday evening July 10, 2015 at Emanuel County Medical Center. Jimmy was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. He was the ultimate showman having been a very talented musician, magician, and ventriloquist. He owned and operated several restaurants in Florida and the Candler Drive-In movie theater in Metter for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Shirah, daughter Linda Bridges, and 1 brother, and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Shirah of Moultrie, son Jimmy Shirah of Metter, and daughter Rose S. (Rev. Gene) Cross of Kite. 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel from 5pm-7pm.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am Wednesday July 15, 2015 at the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes.
Burial will be at the Lake Cemetery in Metter.
Pallbearers: Mike Arrington, Stevie Brown, Derrick Cross, John Cross, Paul Cross, Chris Hagewood, and Jimmy Page.
Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
