Joan Sands Durrence, 79, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Tattnall County native had lived in this area all of her life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and took great pride in her accomplishments as Activity Director of Glenvue Nursing Home. She was a member of Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a very loving and giving person committed to her community, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marquette Durrence.

Tracy & Susan Durrence of Glennville
Joni & David Lewis of Sandersville, GA
Nine Grandchildren, Seven Great-Grandchildren and two nieces also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services will be l:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Edwards officiating.
