Glennville,
John W. Narcarti, 85, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville. He was born August 24, 1933, to Anthony and Mildred (Korbel) Narcarti in Chicago, Illinois. After high school, he served five years in the Army, including the Korean War, and ended his military service at Ft. Stewart, where he continued in civil service as an electrician until his retirement in 1993. He was an owner and operator of the Hen House and the former VIP Dinner Club in Glennville, the former Big Red's Restaurant in Reidsville, and Elm Tree Trailer Park in Glennville, which he continued to operate until his death. For many years he was an avid collector and pilot of remote control model airplanes. John also enjoyed square dancing for nearly 19 years before his health required him to slow down. He was a devout member and organist of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Glennville, and was a giving, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anne Bacon Narcarti; a son, Phillip Narcarti; and a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Narcarti.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 6, 2019, at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
