John Stanley, Jr.

John Henry "J.H." Stanley, Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Optim Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1938 to John Henry and Maudie Paul Stanley and lived here all of his life. J.H. was a Glennville High School graduate and was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as an auto mechanic. He along with his parents owned and operated Stanley's Store for many years. J.H. enjoyed fishing, football and helping others. He loved his family and friends and is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Ann Adams Stanley.


He is survived by:

Timmy Driggers all of Glennville

Sister, Nora Stanley of Glennville

Grandchildren, Jordan Brooks, Gage Driggers, Harley Driggers, Landon Stanley,
Kaylyn Driggers, Elizabeth Stanley, Dalton Driggers, Logan Driggers, Jincy Salter,
and Lauren Pinkston

Several Nieces, Nephews and Special Friends, Darrie Randall and Charles Shanley relatives also survive.


Visitation will begin 5:00 pm, Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 3, 2019 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
