Johnny W. Driggers, age 65, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by hus loved ones on Sunday, September 1, 2019 after he lost his battle to cancer and received his complete healing in his heavenly home. He was born March 23, 1954 , in Glennville, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Lonnie Driggers and Eula Lee (Ray) Driggers.
Johnny was a Christian whom loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glennville. He graduated from Glennville High School in 1973. He worked at the CXS Railroad for 10 years and he had a trucking company where he drove a truck for 39 years. He was a very kind and loving man with a big heart and loved his family. He enjoyed working with wood and building things, watching westerns, and taking trips to the mountains.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Naomi Driggers of Reidsville, Georgia; along with three daughters, Trina Bottoms (Harley) of Allegan, Michigan, Tonja Kennedy (Dana) of Glennville, Georgia, Beth Harvey (Michael) of Ludowici, Georgia; one son Joseph Driggers of Reidsville, Georgia; four sisters, Ann Lynn of Rockingham, North Carolina, Besty Boutwell (Wayne) of Reidsville, Georgia, Susan McKenzie (Herman) of Metter, Georgia, Cindy Terry (Franklin) of Rochelle, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Anita Driggers of Reidsville, Georgia; six grandchildren, Dylan, Elaine and Faith Mobley, Maelee, Jacob and Noah Kennedy; one great-grandchild, Grayson Mack and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Johnny was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Iris Jeanette Driggers and brother, James David Driggers.
The Driggers family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services for Johnny will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Anderson and Rev. Jerry Knight officiating. He will be laid to rest at Stoney Hill Freewill Baptist Church following the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers there is a burial fund in care of Beth Harvey and Tonja Kennedy at the Glennville Bank.
