Johnny Larry Kennedy

Johnny Larry Kennedy, 78, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born in Glennville, Georgia on September 1, 1946, to Johnny Dale and Dorothy Watson Kennedy. Larry resided in Mississippi for over 20 years until moving back to his hometown of Glennville.

Larry dedicated over 20 years of service to the City of Midway. His unwavering commitment to his work exemplified his strong work ethic and dedication.

Larry found immense joy in the company of his family, particularly his beloved nieces and nephews. Their visits brought him great happiness and filled his life with cherished memories that he treasured dearly. 

An avid fisherman, Larry spent many joyful hours fishing and enjoying the serenity of nature. This pastime not only brought him peace but also brought him immense joy. His enthusiasm for life and the simple pleasures it offered left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Dale Kennedy and his mother, Dorothy Watson

Larry is survived by:

Sisters, Martha Oliver (Richard) of Forsyth, Georgia
Cathy Cole (George)

Eight nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
