Johnny Wells

June 7, 1944 — December 12, 2012

Metter- Mr. Johnny Ezekiel Wells, 68 of Metter died Wednesday evening at Candler County Hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Candler County, and was a member of New Beulah United Methodist Church. Known to his family and friends as "Little PaPa" or "Meatball" he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an Honorary Member of Go-Bar Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his Parents Raleigh Ezekiel and Alma Moore Wells, Brothers Toby and Pete Wells, and Sisters Sarah Wells and Julia Mae Morris.

Mr. Wells is survived by the following: Wife Faye Kitchens Wells of Metter; Sons Tim Wells and Tony Wells both of Metter; Brother Robert (Carolyn) Wells of Ellabell, Sisters Jackie (Bobby Ray) Collins of Twin City, and Martha Higgins of Metter; Sister In Law Mildred Wells of Metter, and Brother In Law Don Morris of Swainsboro. Also Surviving are Grand-Daughters Heather (Shawn) Calvert, and Tori Wells all of Metter, and Grand-Son Tucker Wells of Metter.

Visitation will be Friday from 6-8pm at the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes.

Services will be conducted on Saturday 2pm at New Beulah United Methodist Church near Twin City, with the Rev. Gordon Dukes and Rev. Donna Jordan officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:30pm until time of the service.

Burial will follow at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Twin City.
