Jo Nell Bland

Jo Nell Brannen Bland, 87, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 peacefully surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Jonell was born October 24, 1933 to Fentres and Inell Poppel Brannen and lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a farmer’s wife who cared for her family every day while they worked on the farm. She was employed at Glenvue Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and at Strickland’s Pharmacy for many years. She was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, L.H. Bland, brothers, Grady Brannen and Theron Brannen.

She is survived by:

Children, Jimmy L. Bland (Cindy)
Jerry W. Bland all of Glennville, GA

Grandchildren, Jim Bland (Talia), Travis Bland, Erika Lambert (William), Wesley Bland (Patricia) and Stephanie Howell (Seth)

Great grandchildren, Abigail, Trevor, Garrett, Trenton, TJ, Elliott, Jeremy, Ava, Dylan, Ciara, Aiden, Andrew, Archer and Mary Alice

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Joey Brannen, Donnie Brannen, TJ Wilson, Wesley Bland, Travis Bland and
Garrett Bland.
