Joseph Owens

Joseph Larry Owens, 74, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at South Georgia Health System in Brunswick. He was born in Glennville, Georgia, February 24, 1944 to Harry and Gladys Novadine Jones Owens. He was a Navy Veteran and retired from FLETC. He was a very giving and caring person that enjoyed woodworking, welding, building special things, fishing, camping and cooking for his family. He also enjoyed bluegrass music and was a loving caring, husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by:
Wife, Joan Owens of Darien, Georgia
Children, Brian Owens of Pont Vegra Beach, Florida
Bradley Ownes (Simone) of Darien, Georgia
Jennifer Owens of Brunswick, Georgia
Sister, Gladys Barker of Jesup, Georgia
Seven Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, May 28, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Webster officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
