Josephine Glisson

Metter- Mrs. Josephine Lee Glisson 83, of Metter died Friday afternoon at Candler County Hospital. She has lived in this area all of her life, and was a member of Metter Church of God. She was a homemaker and enjoyed socializing with her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Homer Glisson, daughter Joann Myers, her parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

She is survived by her, daughter Linda Kay Lewis of Metter, son Timothy R. (Brandy) Smith of Manassas. Sisters Annie Laura (William) Collins, of Portal, Carolene (Ed) Johnson of Portal, Jean (Ken) Nichols, of Gastonia, NC, Cathy (Rick) Miller, of Gastonia NC, Donna (Steve) Cole, of Cornelius NC, and Mona Maney, of Clover SC. Brothers Jerry (Jackie) Lee, of Mabelton GA, Donald (Margie) Lee, of Calhoun GA, Joseph (Marsha) Lee, of Metter, Danny (Elaine) Lee, of Gastonia NC, Fred (Grace) Lee, of Gastonia NC, and Otis Lee, of Las Vegas VN. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Metter Church of God from 6-8pm.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 2, 2014 3:00pm at the Metter Church of God, with the Rev. Alan Kea officiating.

Burial will follow at the Primitive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
