Juanita Dent Purcell, 92, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Summerhill, A Senior Living Community in Perry, Ga. Mrs. Purcell was born September 14, 1917 in Wayne County, Georgia and married Wiley Nolan Purcell on October 25, 1937 in Tattnall County, Georgia, where she and Nolan lived for the majority of their 63 years of marriage. Mrs. Purcell was a faithful, devoted, and loving wife and mother. She had a strong and loving faith in her Lord and Savior. For many years, both in Glennville and during their eight years in Doraville, she worked as a food service provider at the schools where Mr. Purcell was a teacher. She served in several capacities over the years at her beloved church, Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. During the short time the Purcell's resided in Doraville, they were founding members of a Free Will Baptist Church in Atlanta. Her faith was an encouragement to all who knew her. Her husband, W. Nolan Purcell, preceded her in death.
