Kathryn Bland Purvis, 71, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born September 30, 1943 to Kelly and Virginia Porter Bland and lived in Glennville and Swainsboro most of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Glennville High School. She was employed with OMI at City of Swainsboro for 16 ½ years. She was a loving, caring wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and member of Mendes Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, Fred Purvis and grandson, Christopher Purvis.

Michael (Jessica) Purvis of Swainsboro
Sister:Betty (Kenneth) Blocker of Glennville
Grandchildren:Adriana Purvis, Crystal Radford, Nicholas Purvis, Jeffrey (Carmolita) Gregory
Jr., James (Adrienne) Gregory, Steven (Amanda) Gregory, Logan Creamer,
Tim Outon
Several Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews also surivive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Mendes Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Knight officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
