Katie Hammer

Katie B. Hammer, 91, died peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, October 19, 2018, in the Donald community of Long County, Georgia, in the home of her son Jerry Hammer and his wife Helen who were her faithful caregivers for the past five years. Katie was a native of Tennessee but had lived in Michigan before coming to Georgia. She is predeceased by her husband Dwight Hammer. She is survived by three sons Jerry (Helen Bacon) Hammer of Ludowici, Larry (Connie) Hammer and Virgil (Kim) Hammer of Michigan, 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice of Jesup for all the great help they provided for the past year. They were a great blessing.
A private memorial service will be held later. Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville is in charge of arrangements.
