Kenneth A. Waters, 69, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. He was born the 27th of June 1954 in Reidsville, Georgia to the late Russell Waters and the late Joyce Weitman Dasher. Mr. Waters graduated from Glennville High School in 1972 and went on to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. After college he returned to Tattnall County and eventually began his career as an electrician. Kenny worked for Canoochee EMC for approximately 30 years before retiring.
Kenneth was a member and deacon of Mendes Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, particularly with his son, Kyle. At a young age, he enjoyed driving fast cars, a trait he would later pass on to his daughter.
If you knew him well, you know what a rarity it is to find a person with such a heart of gold. He truly loved unconditionally and was able to see the best in everyone. A fan of boat rides and margaritas, he was sometimes known by his brother Mark as "Kenny Buffett". He was a loving and supportive father to Kyle and Sarah. As they grew older he became more like a best friend, always there with a shoulder to cry on and the words they needed to hear. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Sarah.
Lastly, he loved spending time with his dog and most loyal companion, Buckley. A surprise gift, undoubtedly the best gift he ever received. Kenneth will truly be missed, by all who knew him. Not one will ever forget his favorite greeting, "Whatcha know good?"
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Thurmon Dasher, son, Kyle Waters, infant brother, Robert Dale Dasher, his sister, Connie Doolittle and nephew Shawn Waters.
He is survived by: Daughter, Sarah Waters of Savannah, Georgia; brothers, Mark Dasher (Christine) of Reidsville, Georgia, Russell Terry Waters (Pam) of Glennville, Georgia, several nieces and nephews.
