Lauree Kicklighter

Lauree Dasher Kicklighter, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Northspring Senior Living in Claxton. She was born July 28, 1937 to Walter L. and Winnie Fennell Dasher and was a 1955 graduate of Glennville High School. Lauree worked at the Glennville Bank for over 50 years, starting out as a teller and working up to Vice President of the bank, after her retirement in 2000 she was appointed Chairman of the Board. She was a very active member of the Glennville Garden Club and was recognized for her many community services projects by being named Lady of the Year by the Theta Zeta Sorority. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lauree was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church where she was active in the Joy Sunday School class and is preceded in death by her parents; Husband Eugene Kicklighter; Daughter; Linda Lee Kicklighter; Granddaughter, Ashton Carol Strickland and brothers, Gerald Dasher and Ronald Dasher.

She is survived by:

Grandchildren, Evan Fountain (Victoria), Emily Fountain (Ben Burry),
Caroline Norris (Chandler), Catherine Todd (Matthew)

Great Grandchildren, Hadley Todd, Eden Norris, Emerson Todd

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 12, 2021 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: the Glennville Garden Club c/o Sue Rogers, 102 Greenwood Dr., Glennville, Georgia 30427.

Social distancing of six feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
