Lenward Weaver

Lenward Franklin Weaver, 68, died September 27, 2015 at Community Hospice Center in Vidalia. He was born in Mississippi on October 10, 1946 and lived in Glennville and Florida for many years. He retired after 20 years of service from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant at Fort Stewart, Georgia, having served in the Vietnam War. He loved woodworking and bowling and was a member of the USBC bowling team. He was the recipient of many honors while in the military including the Bronze Star Medal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Franklin and Minerva Smith Weaver; and a brother, Doyle Weaver.

Angela Weaver Guy (Dale) of Glennville
Clint Weaver of Dallas, Georgia
Brother:Omie and Betty Weaver of Lucedale, Mississippi
Sister:Annie Pearl Lofton of Waynesboro, Mississippi
Grandchildren: Kristi and Josh Yancey, Colton Weaver, Matthew and Deanne Teague, and
Marissa Weaver.
Great-Granddaughter: Alice Teague
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015, beginning at 6:00 pm at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville with burial to follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
