Lois Wilcox

Metter Lois Barrett Wilcox, 93, passed away Monday at Candler County Hospital after a brief illness. The native of Grady County moved to Metter in 1994 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and retired after twenty years of service with the Rodenberry Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents Van and Georgia Barrett, husband James Herman Wilcox, Sr., daughter, Wanda Spiess.
Survivors: son, Jimmy Wilcox and his wife Sheran of Metter, grandchildren, Gina Chaffin of Douglasville, Shane (Danielle) Spiess of Douglasville, Garrett (Blythe) Wilcox of Vidalia, eight great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, 2 PM at the Lake Church cemetery with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening 6-8 at the funeral home.
