Louise Kelsoe Howard, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Halcyon House Hospice in Atlanta. She was born July 10, 1922 in Enterprise, Alabama to John and Mae Kelsoe. She married Willis (Billy) M. Howard, Sr. in 1942 and moved to Glennville. She was employed with Civil Service at Ft. Stewart retiring in 1980. She was instrumental in the building and operation of Tattnall-Evans Manor, The Pledger House and Sunshine House group homes for mentally challenged citizens in Glennville. She was also instrumental in the establishment of Tattnall Evans Training Center in Manassas. She served on the board of Tattnall-Evans Citizens for Developmental Disabilities. She was a member of the Glennville United Methodist Church and was very active in many church positions. She served as president of the Cowart Memorial Sunday School Class and was an avid bridge player. She was a member and past president of the Glennville Garden Club.
She is preceded in death by husband, Willis Mann (Big Billy) Howard, Sr. and son, W. M. (Billy) Howard, Jr.

Special Friend:Edythe Phillips of Glennville
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Glennville United Methodist Church with Rev. Vance Riggins officiating. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
