Lula Deann (Kennedy) Kenney, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Glenvue Health & Rehab. Born in Glennville, Georgia on December 17, 1940, as one of sixteen children to Carl and Eula Mae Bell Kennedy. Lula lived a life filled with hard work and love for her family.
Lula was known for her exceptional work ethic. As a machinist, she manufactured parts and worked in shipping and packaging for Brasscraft in Michigan, while living there from 1980-2003. Her commitment to work and to provide for her family was unparalleled, as she held two jobs simultaneously. Not only did she excel in her professional endeavors, but she also made time to help on the family farm after moving back to Glennville. Lula's drive and good-hearted spirit resonated with everyone around her and served as an inspiration to those fortunate enough to witness it firsthand.
Family was at the center of Lula's world, and she embraced her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother with unwavering devotion. Her proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in the love she had for her family. Lula's nurturing nature created an atmosphere of warmth and care in her household. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and made sure they always felt supported.
Throughout her life, Lula exhibited a quiet strength that served as a guiding light for those closest to her. She approached every obstacle with courage and never shied away from hard work or difficult situations. Lula's resilience was matched only by her compassion for others, as she consistently offered a helping hand or an empathetic ear to those in need.
