Lynn Banks Culpepper
Elizabeth City, North Carolina/Metter, Georgia- Lynn Banks Culpepper 60 died Monday at her residence in Metter. She enjoyed spending time at both of her homes in Metter and Elizabeth City. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in education. She taught middle and high schools, and was the cheerleading coordinator, having retired after 31 years of service with the Pasquotank County School Board. She enjoyed cooking, and was a great cook, and she also enjoyed watching golf. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of Metter First United Methodist Church. She is predeceased by her parents Dekle and Mavis Banks.
She is survived by her husband Daryl Culpepper of Elizabeth City NC and Metter, GA; daughter Jill Culpepper of Gainesville, GA. Also surviving are her brothers and their spouses Mike (Rhonda) Banks, and Bill (Robin) Banks all of Duluth, GA.
Visitation will be Thursday April 10, 2014 from 5:00-7:00pm at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 11, 2014 2:00pm at the Metter First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Whit Byram officiating. The body will lie in state from 12:00noon until the hour of the service.
Burial will follow at the Lake Church Cemetery in Metter.
