Maridean Brewton

Maridean Banks Brewton, 92, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born April 3, 1922 in Glennville to Eben and Ruby Bacon Banks and lived here all of her life. She attended Draughn's Business College and was employed with Bland Farms for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, Foch Brewton; brothers, Revis Banks, Larry Banks, Ed Banks; Sisters, Marjorie B. Durrence and Dealva Banks.

Grandchildren, Landis & Leah Bland, Troy Bland, Courtney & Matt Howell, Justin & Sarah McLeod, Alison & Anthony Weitman, Carla & Steve Rush, Mark & Cheryl Brewton, Wayne Baker & Nicki Allen, 14 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
