Marie Johnson

Marie Patterson Jones Johnson, 69, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. She was born on November 7, 1941 in Tattnall County and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a graduate of Glennville High School Class of 1959 and completed Business College the following year. She was a secretary and medical transcriptionist for several hospitals and doctors. She is preceded in death by her parents, L.I. "Shorty" and Fannie Baxter Patterson, Husband, Claude Johnson Sr., Brother, Gene Patterson.

She is survived by,

Former Husband and present beloved companion, George B. Jones of Reidsville.
Children, Angela Jones Anderson and Chris Jones both of Valdosta
Brother, Pat Patterson of Glennville
Sister, Novadean Dreggors of Glennville
Stepson, Claude Johnson Jr. of Nevada
Several Stepdaughters, Delia Fitzgerald of Glennville,
Anna Lightsee of Hampton, SC
Christine Clark of Lincolnton, GA

Grandsons, Brandon Wright, Joey Wright, and Jonathan Jones, one great granddaughter, several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.
