Marie Moody

Marie Moody, 62, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1962, in Glennville, Georgia to Thomas Hughland and Dora Lee Wilson Moody.

Marie dedicated her life to serving others throughout her career. She was a skilled CNA, a firefighter, an EMT, home healthcare nurse and first responder, where she showcased her remarkable ability to provide care and support. Known for her compassionate nature, she was a caregiver to everyone around her, embodying the essence of selflessness and dedication in both her personal and professional life.

Outside of her demanding career, Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, creating lasting bonds of friendship and family. She was a pillar of dependability and strength for her loved ones. 

Marie will be remembered for her kind heart and the genuine care she extended to all those fortunate enough to know her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas Hughland Moody, Jr. and a grandchild, Brennen Royce Saenz.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
