Marion Sisson Rogers

Cobbtown- Mrs. Marion Sisson Rogers, 87, of Cobbtown died Friday morning January 23, 2015 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. She was born in Wilkes County Georgia, and has lived in Cobbtown for most of her life. She was a member of Rogers (Chapel) Baptist church in the Hillview community in Tattnall County. She retired from Pineland Mental Health as a mental health tech. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Carson Rogers, parents David and Lilla Mae Fanning Sisson, children David Rogers and Betty Ruth Aldrich. Two grandchildren are also predeceased Dana and Bert Aldrich.

She is survived by her sons Casey (Adelia) Rogers of Statesboro, Walt (Debbie) Rogers of Reidsville. Grandchildren Patrick Rogers, Nikki (Scott) Roessler, Mary Frances (Tim) Durkin, Amanda (Troy) Lockwood, and Clif Marshall. Sisters Ellen Brown of Jacksonville, Florida and Evelyn Monroe of Cobbtown. Several great-grandchildren also survive.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday January 25, 2015 at 1:00pm followed by a memorial service being conducted 2:00pm, at Rogers (Chapel) Baptist Church in the Hillview Community in Tattnall County with Bro. Jerald Dorr officiating.
