Marjorie Kicklighter

Marjorie Rentz Kicklighter, 95 passed away Tuesday, at Glenvue Health & Rehabilitation. She was born in Bulloch County October 7, 1918 to Lester and Bessie Lain Rentz and lived in Glennville most of her life. She was employed with the Glennville Hatchery, Waters Bi-Rite (Bi-Lo) where she retired after the age of 79. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed for many people in the 1950's and 60's. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. After her retirement she visited the Glenvue Nursing Home most days and was a resident for the past four years. She was a lifelong member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband of 54 years, Kenneth Kicklighter, Sisters, Dorothy Woodcock and Thelma Fender, Son in-law, Arlian Brannen, Step-great grandson, Brandon Strickland.
She is survived by, Daughter, Winona (Billy) O'Neal of Glennville
Grandchildren, Wynette (Charles) Burkhalter of Claxton
Kenny (Traci) Brannen, David (Tina) Brannen, Felicia (Larry) Walker all of Glennville
Step Grandchildren, Andy O'Neal, Pam (Tommy) Strickland all of Glennville
Eighteen great grandchildren, Eleven great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Wilder and Elder David Summerford. Burial will be in Beards Creek Church Cemetery.
